A person’s mindset determines the path of their life. But the real question is: Can we actually change our mindset?
Mindset means whether our mind is set toward scarcity or abundance.

The Language of Scarcity
In today’s world, we’re constantly told there isn’t enough. We hear words like famine, drought, poverty, deprivation. When it comes to money, we hear lack of funds, money shortage, financial insufficiency, deficit.
This language programs our minds to believe in scarcity. That there’s never enough. That if someone else succeeds, we lose.
But what if we could shift our minds from scarcity to abundance?
Step 1: Awareness and Reframing
The first step is to observe our thoughts and self-talk. Track the scarcity thoughts like:
“I will never afford that”
“If they succeed, I lose”
“There’s not enough for everyone”
Then challenge these thoughts with affirmations and evidence-based reframes:
“Opportunities expand when I act”
“Wealth is created, not just divided”
“Success is not a limited resource”
Step 2: Gratitude and Evidence Building
Practice daily gratitude. Note your financial wins, even small ones saving 100 rupees, learning a new skill, completing a task.
This counters our natural negativity bias and strengthens positive thinking.
There’s a quote I love:
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”
Gratitude creates fulfillment. We feel happiness and abundance. We feel we have everything we need. Gratitude is wisdom.
The more grateful we are, the more we receive.
When we practice gratitude, we shift from negative to positive mode. New neural pathways form in our brain. These pathways lead us to new destinations.
Because to reach a new destination, you must change your path. Following the same path leads to the same place. Gratitude takes you somewhere new.

Step 3: Behavioral Repetition
If you want to feel abundant, act “as if” you already are.
Choose one behavior and repeat it daily:
Invest small amounts consistently. Even a small amount, invested consistently, becomes huge through compound effect.
Give generously (time or money). Use a timer 7 minutes, 30 minutes, whatever works. During that time, focus completely on one task. Start small, then increase. A new neural pathway will form. The work will become easier.
Seek win-win collaborations. Look for situations where everyone benefits.
Consistency builds new habits. The brain prefers familiar paths, so make abundance your familiar path.
Step 4: Self-Talk – The Most Powerful Tool
Self-talk works like a spell in our lives. It really works.
When you’re in difficult circumstances, the most important thing is your self-talk what you say to yourself. Your mind believes it as truth.
Let me give you my own example:
Yesterday, I needed 3,000 rupees. There was no way I could see to get this money. But I said to myself: “Thanks to Allah, He gives me money. I have fulfilled my need.”
That same night, I received 3,000 rupees.
It’s a small amount, but it showed me the way of abundance. Positive self-talk brings positive responses from unexpected places.
Just try it.
The Journey Continues
Shifting from scarcity to abundance isn’t instant. It’s a daily practice of:
Catching negative thoughts
Practicing gratitude
Acting abundantly
Speaking positively to yourself
Each small step creates new pathways in your brain. Each new pathway leads you closer to abundance.
The question isn’t whether you can change your mindset.
The question is: Will you?
